An early injury for Dennis Praet, a goal scored by Ilias Chair and a second goal by Sinclair Armstrong left City with a 1-2 defeat, with an attempt from Ben Nelson who scored the only goal for City and tried to bring them back to their winning ways.
The rain was pouring over King Power Stadium, when the final whistle blew and top-of-the-league Leicester City suffered defeat, leaving them with only a 3-point gap from Ipswich. Relegation-threatened Queens Park Rangers continued their winning streak and climbed their way up from the dotted line.

The sun beamed through the clouds for a minute when there was a hopeful atmosphere amongst the City fans as second of the league Leeds, climbed down to third after a 1-1 draw earlier, creating pressure for City to widen the 5-point gap between the two teams.
Barely fifteen minutes into the game Leicester’s centre midfielder Praet sustained an injury and was substituted with Yunus Akgun, who made some fair attempts to assist.
In the first 25 minutes, City had most of the possession and continuously threatened the R´s in their box which left City´s goalkeeper Mads Hermansen with very little to do on his side. It felt like it was only a matter of time before City would score. However, the West London team beat them to it in the 38th minute when City´s captain Hamza Choudhury missed QPR´s Chair who sneaked up behind him towards the far post and tapped the ball in the back of the net, giving them a 1-0 lead, assisted by Lyndon Dykes.
In 56th minute the R´s Armstrong was substituted in and only a few seconds later, he scored and gave the away team a 2-0 lead.
City´s Jannik Vestergaard who suffered a two-game suspension was replaced by Nelson who had big shoes to fill. So, he did, Nelson had a great game where he steered the West London team away from the City goal.
59th minute, key player Jamie Vardy returned to the pitch after having had an injury. Only seconds after, City earned a freekick where Nelson, got on the ball and struck it in the back of the net.
Enzo Maresca´s side were eager to score, knowing the importance of this game, however failed to make it past a 1-2 defeat, leaving them at threat of losing their first spot.
